Cleaning is just as critical as decorating your home. Indeed, before you begin your home with Diwali house decoration it is important that your home be thoroughly cleaned. Start sweeping your homestead from top to bottom with your broom. Diy Diwali House Decoration and Gift Ideas

For this DIY take any old fabric piece .And two triangle card board pieces of any measurement then cut out fabric piece, place card board triangle in the centre .Cut out the extras. Then using a hot glue gun I’ll stick the fabric on the cardboard piece. So basically just wrapping the fabric on the cardboard .So this is how it looks.

Now using some stones, kundan, pearls and fabric glue I’ll start decorating it. Then I have these ‘Shubh labh ‘from my last year’s diwali house decoration. So I’ll stick one in the centre. For latke, you can, of course, go for ready-made, you’ll find them in the market but I decided to make like a simple one using pom-poms and clear beads. Like I said in my previous DIY video apply some fabric glue to secure the ends. Tie both the threads together.

Using cello tape stick it on the backside of the cardboard piece. Tape ribbon and that’s it. ‘Shubh labh’ decoration piece is ready. It was very quick, looks so  beautiful you can hang them on your wall or on your door. Perfect for festive decoration. In my previous diwali house decoration, I showed you guys paper flower and I showed you how to make a leaf out of paper.

Take square size paper of any measurement fold it into half and cut it diagonally so you’ll get two triangles. Now make a small even accordion folds. Press the centre of this folded paper. Apply glue and join inner sides to form the leaf .Allow the glue to dry and leaf is ready. I made leaves in two different colors light green and dark green.

Then using needle and thread and using some colorful  pom-poms. I’ll start making garland. Paper leaf and pom-pom garland is ready. It is very easy, you need very limited materials for this DIY. And it’s totally last-minute DIY for diwali house decoration. For this DIY you can recycle any glass container.

Then using needle and thread and using some colorful  pom-poms I’ll start making garland. Paper leaf and pom-pom garland is ready. It is very easy, you need very limited materials for this DIY. And it’s totally last-minute DIY for festive decoration. For this DIY you can recycle any glass container. For diwali house decoration we using an old may onnaise jar. And some glass colors, that you can find online or in any local stationery shop.

So go for any design that you want and draw it using this liner that already comes with the kit. Now, I did not buy any material this time for my Diwali series. So if you guys are planning to buy, you can, of course, go for gold or white liner instead of black. Fill each section with different glass color .You can paint it directly like I’m doing or use a paint brush.

You’ll need a minimum of two coats to get that tinted color; otherwise the color looks very translucent. I went with four colors here. Red, green, blue and pink. Allow it to dry. Then I have these small mirror stones. I’m going to stick that randomly in each box with glue. If you don’t have something like this, it’s totally fine, you can go for normal stones as well.

And that’s it, put some flowers in it, you can even put candle or wired lights it. Such a beautiful way of recycling old glass container this Diwali. This DIY is actually inspired my old blog that I made in 2015I absolutely love this idea.

So in any empty glass container, use rangoli as a decoration idea. Fill it layer by layer in different colors. And that’s it, put candle or Diya  on top, make 4-5 such candle holders put it in your centre table. And it looks perfect for Diwali. I hope you guys enjoyed all the ideas of diwali house decoration.
